This article was an interesting read, since there isn’t a ton of information written about SEO and shortened URLs. There is a way, however, to use shortened URLs in a way that is effective in terms of SEO and analytics tracking. Any follow up suggestions on a good quiz plugin in 2012. Here’s what I need in a quiz plugin:

1. Single answer questions.

2. Open ended questions (ex: “For the last question in our quiz, tell us a little about yourself”).

3. Ability to gather user info (Name, email, phone, etc.)

4. Access to the results and user info!

Gravityforms looks like a fantastic plugin, but it doesn’t have any grading/scoring functionality. I’d gladly pay for it if it had a scoring function.

Watu is new on the scene in. But it’s just a light version of the standalone php version. It can score results, but there’s no way to receive the results in the current plugin form.

Looks like the Quizzin plugin hasn’t been updated in almost 1000 days!

Can anyone tell me a good wordpress plugin I can use to send SMS messages to cell phones. I saw this on a website and I though it would make ppl stay on my site much longer. I recently created my site and it a work in progress. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think Sharp hit the nail right on the head so to speak. Redudancy has always been a concern for search engines. If you look at the keyword meta field abuse, search engines quickly made that head tag virtually irelevant. The same thing is happening with tag clouds.

If you already have tags attached to the bottom of each post then what use is a tag cloud for the user that reads your content? None what so ever.

Keeping your content relevant and non-redundant does work!

I’m glad I’ve search first for articles regarding the real use of tag clouds before applying on my website. I already had a hunch that it was kind of redundant to put it given the tags and categories already on the page. This clearly sums it up. As per the “strong” attribute – I normally apply it to the words that are part of the main topic of that particular post. Usually the header 3-5 levels.

Thanks for such a great article. During a website consult, the install.php was pointed out as a security risk. I was able to go in and remove it.
